PIN YOUR THANKS

It gives me enormous pleasure to add my name to the growing list of those who have wholeheartedly supported the Pin Your Thanks initiative. It is a marvellous idea to create a universally recognisable token of the appreciation in which those who have worked so tirelessly, bravely and with such commitment and uncomplaining generosity, to help others in the Coronavirus crisis are held. Of course this is not instead of ensuring that our health and care services are never caught so short again, nor instead of properly rewarding and securing the futures of our frontline workers, but it is nonetheless a strong and valuable way of showing that we as a society regard these remarkable people as special and deserving of a unique kind of visible recognition.
